Free Hands-on Dragon Dance Workshop
A hands-on introduction to Chinese Dragon Dancing in celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year.
No prior experience is necessary, so bring your family along! The event will include an explanation of Dragon Dancing, followed by a
50-minute film presentation featuring San Francisco community historian David Lei, who will share the history of the CHINESE DRAGON IN THE WEST.

The Honan Shaolin Association offers its members traditional Shaolin martial arts training and dragon dancing.

Auditions
Everyone is welcome to audition! There are no fees for joining the team; the only requirement is to bring your enthusiasm, commitment to bi-weekly practices, and participation in occasional public performances. No experience is required.
• Learn on the go and execute a new skill within a short timeframe.
• Physical fitness
• Learn basic dance movement patterns (舞龍).
